Grasped

$630.00
sold out

Grasped is more than a painting—it’s a journey, a connection, and a memory woven into every brushstroke. Created during my time in Kipili, a village in Tanzania, this piece carries the essence of a place, its people, and the moments that shaped it. It traveled with me across the country, but its true story lies in the hands and eyes of the children who gathered around me as I painted.

These children were drawn to me—grasping onto my presence, my art, and perhaps the sense of peace it brought. In return, they gave me something just as profound—a feeling of belonging, of inspiration, of shared joy in creation. Their curiosity and warmth filled the atmosphere, making every stroke feel more meaningful.

This painting is a reflection of that experience—the way art has the power to pull us in, to hold us, and to create moments of peace, no matter where we are.
